Sony WF-1000XM6 Launch Date, US Price Confirmed?!

Well it appears that we have more details from Dealabs that just dropped a few days ago. This time we have the possible US pricing, a more concrete release date, as well as a preorder date for the new Sony WF-1000XM6.

Long story short, it’s going to get more expensive. It will cost $330, compared to the launch price of the WF-1000XM5, which was $300 in the US.

Yet, just like with the XM5 earbuds, the US price is even cheaper than the European price, which, after conversion, is 282 Euros, versus Europe’s 300 Euro price of the XM6 earbuds.

As for the launch date, we are looking at 23rd February, just a few days earlier than what was listed on the spare parts website from the previous video, and preorders will start on 12th February 2026. So it’s coming soon guys! I know we were all expecting it to launch at CES, but with just a few weeks away, we should be getting a few more leaks of the WF-1000XM6 earbuds.

In other news, I just heard back from Sony regarding the security vulnerabilities of their headphones and earbuds. I talked about that in my last video, but in a nutshell, they can allow hackers to hijack your connected devices, and there are concerns that the new models are also affected and have not been patched.

Well, Sony has clarified that the issues specified in the previous video were already patched months ago, in July 2025, with firmware 2.0.2 on the WH-1000XM6 and 5.0.2 on the WF-1000XM5.

As for the older products, Sony says that they are still working on addressing the issue. As always, I will be keeping a lookout for those firmware updates, so watch this space, or Subscribe to main channel for the latest updates!
