PRISM+ launches 2024 Premium and adds 100-inch QLED 4KTV!

By Shawn Chung - Singapore

Singapore consumer tech brand PRISM+ pioneered direct-to-consumer marketing when the company launched its first products in 2017, and have since expanded its lineup into smart home appliances. The homegrown brand has expanded into other regional markets, and is now available in Australia, Malaysia and the Philippines.

Just in time for 11.11, PRISM+ has now unveiled three new Google TV line-ups as part of its 2024 refresh, in order to seal its position as Singapore’s leading TV brand.

New for 2024 is the company’s first Mini-LED TV displays, as well as the brand’s first 100-inch 4K QLED TV! For 2024, the new lineup will include a number of exciting features, such as Google TV, Dolby Vision IQ, light & motion sensors, native 120Hz 4K displays, and HDMI 2.1 connectivity.

Mini-LED QLED TVs

The new U-Series 4K Mini-LED QLED Google TVs come in two sizes, and use 4K Mini-LED displays that are capable of reaching 1400 nits of peak brightness – four times more than a traditional IPS display, and over 50% more than a typical OLED display, without screen burn-in.

Mini-LED technology basically uses ‘mini’ LED chips for backlighting - where the smaller size (and same brightness as an LED chip) enables more to be used over a comparable size. The smaller chips also lend to better light control, enabling the PRISM+ U-Series Google TVs to use full-array local dimming technology to reduce blooming, ensuring these TVs can achieve the deepest blacks and the whitest whites.

What sets the U65 and U75 apart from other Mini-LED displays on the market is its use of a Quantum Dot layer, or better known as QLED, that is outfitted onto the display panel. Combined with the Mini-LED display, this allows the screen to achieve a wider color gamut of up to 125% so viewers can enjoy their preferred content in its full glory.

Both the PRISM+ U65 and U75 will also feature the latest in cinematic technology, including Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10+, HLG, MEMC (motion smoothing), Filmmaker Mode, and Dolby Atmos. For next-generation console gaming features. these displays come with 2xHDMI 2.1 Ports and 120Hz refresh rate.

Singapore’s First 100-inch QLED TV

Following up on the launch of its successful QLED TVs last year, PRISM+ is now adding two super-sized additions to the QLED family. Taking center stage is the Q100 Ultra, the first 100-inch 4K QLED TV from PRISM+, with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, local dimming and built-in audio power with 120W 2.1.2ch speakers that have Dolby Atmos sound system.

At launch, this TV will be priced at a limited promotional price of SGD $3,999 – over 70 percent more affordable than competitors on the market.

With the C86 Ultra, PRISM+ has refreshed the hardware and features of its 85-inch display to match the Q100 Ultra, with the exception of a built-in sound system and full-array local

dimming.

PRISM+ has also updated Alpha Series OLED TVs for 2024, including upgrading its Android TV operating system to Google TV and adding an 77AL 77-inch model alongside the 55AL 55-inch and 65AL 65-inch. These three OLED TVs will also come equipped with a 120Hz 4K display that is up to 21% brighter than the 2023 Alpha Series, while two HDMI 2.1 enables compatibility with the latest gaming consoles, and PCs.

With Dolby Vision IQ and built-in light and motion sensors, these displays can provide visuals optimized for any light condition, especially as these displays also come with a 2.1.2ch Dolby Atmos surround sound system.
