Bose QuietComfort Ultra 2, SoundLink Plus and SoundLink Micro announced

Singapore, June 12, 2025 – Bose has just announced the second generation of its popular QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds, along with two new portable speakers under the SoundLink lineup: the SoundLink Plus Portable and the SoundLink Micro (Link TBA).

Starting with the earbuds, Bose confirmed that the latest generation of its QuietComfort series will launch on June 26. For context, the first-gen QuietComfort Ultra already delivered some of the best ANC on the market, easily competing with flagship models from Sony and Apple. Now, Bose is taking things up a notch. This time, the company promises even smoother ActiveSense mode transitioning from transparency to noise canceling, thanks to enhanced AI-powered technology.

The QC Ultra Gen 2 will also feature wireless charging out of the box, as opposed to the previous model which needed a separately available case cover. Touch controls can also be turned off entirely instead of just the Shortcut (Long Press) gesture, as on the previous model.

One of the main drawbacks of the previous version was the microphone quality, which left room for improvement. This time around, Bose promises upgraded microphones for clearer, more natural voice calls. They also have wax guards over the nozzles, to make it easier to clean the earbuds from earwax and dirt buildup after extended use, which many users will definitely appreciate.

Pricing for the new earbuds is expected to start at $299 or around SGD520. They will be available in three stylish colors: Black, White Smoke, and a limited edition Deep Plum.
