Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 5 coming soon... 🤔
Yes the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 5 could be coming soon, although we don’t have an actual date yet, nor has there been any leaks about most of its specs and features. What we do have so far are pictures of the product, the pricing, and even its battery life, details which were leaked recently on multiple websites.
Price
The MTW5 could retail for about $300 US which is the same price that the MTW4 was launched at. As for pictures, we’ve got retail images from recent leaks like these ones from Video&Audio Center, now taken down. But it wasn’t as interesting as an earlier leak from regulatory filings which showed closeups of the prototypes as well as measurements.
Design
The MTW5 looks very different from previous models. That fabric covered box design? Gone. No more! Now we’re got a more conventional case that’s about 5.5cm tall and about 7cm wide. That is still a big case, about the size of the Razer V3 Hyperspeed that I reviewed earlier, but a flat case is always going to be more pocketable than a thick jewelry box design.
Battery Life

As for its battery life, Indian ecommerce site SmartPrix indicates a total of 36 hours of juice from both the earbuds and the charging case. If that is its battery life with noise canceling, that is impressive. But if it’s the battery with noise canceling turned off, 36 hours in total is about average.
In any case, I’ll be keeping a close watch on the battery because based on past experience, Sennheiser’s quoted battery is always with noise canceling turned off. Like in the case of the MTW4, its quoted battery is up to 30 hours but I got up to 24 hours with noise canceling. Anyway, we’ll see.
That is basically all we know about the MTW5 at this moment. Personally, I’m super excited because it’s been 3 years since the MTW4 was launched. So I want to know if there are any improvements in terms of its sound, noise canceling, mic quality, and whether the Momentum 5’s new equalizer system will make its way to the MTW5. But if there are more leaks about its features, specs and launch date, I will get back to you.
